I can't believe the time went so fast. Like everyone already said, it was a fun time and nobody got to visit with everyone who was there. But it was nice to finally meet and greet a bunch of folks I had only known digitally before. smile.gif Seattle is really inconvenient for those of us up here, so I hope there will be more get-togethers for Everett-Lynnwood. Thanks to GLHG for setting this one up. up.gif Yet, and anyone else who was wielding a camera last night: are you going to post your pictures?

I’m fat. No cameras allowed at any more socials til I’m not fat. It was great to see new faces at this social! Dacker, Strider, Frank, Yet, Hiker Mama, The Zachster, PiB, GG. I liked the place; lots of room, good food, patient waitresses, fish tanks, a fire of silk, a fireplace that for some reason oozes water and belches smoke (still can’t figure that one out). It looked rather like the dripping snout of a giant fairy tale beast. Oh wait, that was…hey, that wasn’t a mirror, was it? huh.gif ) I was happy to get a trip to Trader Joes in before the thingy, too. There were only about 8 other shoppers in there. It was great.

You guys sure know how to make art outa nothin at all. All I saw was a chimney with its flashing blown off from the last windstorm, and a little rain water seeping down the bricks through the ceiling. clown.gif It was great seeing everyone last light - old and new alike.

It was a pleasure to meet all of you. I wish I would have had a chance to visit with more of you, but it was a largish group, and the time grew short ..... On the way home it struck me - we should have gathered around the "campfire" behind the bar. Scatter a bunch of appetizer plates around the "firepit" and just munch away. Pseudo camping, y'know? Stories are always better around a fire, even if it's a smokeless silk fire.

strider I've never been lost, but I'm frequently uncertain where my destination might be in relation to where I am at the moment....

strider, I said the same thing to Dacker on the way home. I bet we would all have fit in that nice cozy room. Next time smile.gif And Dacker, yes, I will post the pics I took, as soon as I learn me how!

Strider, I was thinking that, too, about gathering around the "fireplace". I wonder if we could reserve it if/when we go again. Not that there was anyone else there that night, but just in case.

Hi It was wonderful meeting all you guys. It's great being able to match an e-mail with a real person. I am also in favor of all of us gathering around the fireplace. I think someone mentioned having a gathering at Zeke's near Gold Bar. This might be a good idea later on in the summer on a Sunday afternoon. It was a great place, good food, not too noisy, and fun people. Thanks, GLHG.

Understandable. Pass granted.
