Wow! We've looked across the road from Rock Mtn so many times wondering if folks did Arrowhead...you've answered my question! The reports and pics are great. I can't wait to give it a try. It looks like fun in snow, but is there a trail in summer or is it a reasonable scramble?
Thanks for the report (I was wondering where you ended up this weekend!)

Trail Pair, "Which mountain is behind Carol?" Looks like Bulls Tooth to me.....and it looks like a great trip was had by all on a bluebird day. I need to get up there myself. I've looked up the backside of Arrowhead when going up Wildhorse Creek.

Zachster, there is no summer trail. I have not seen a trip report at any time except winter. I suspect it would be a reasonable dirt scramble but it is definitely easier and more fun on snow.

That's kind of what I thought. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Glad we're getting some more snow this week!

I thought it migth have been Bulls Tooth as well, but I wasn't sure. It seemed too far away and not in the right location. Maybe someone moved it? Or maybe my internal compass needs an adjustment

Thanks for the great TR and photos. What a treat! My meager outing of Saturday only whets my appetite for more challenge. I must learn the "route" to this fascinating outpost. Oh....I hope Sadie has "come clean". I bet she needed the sandwich and so forth for energy to scramble the drifts....is she any good with ice ax? LOL!

Sadie wears crampons - no need for an ice ax. She continues to profess her innocence. A case of mistaken identity most certainly.
