Is it in the vicinity of Boston Basin?

Sorry Wooly, I had my traverses confused. It's the Ptarmigan Traverse that is in the area of the photo, the southern end.

Thank you IBEX, I've been wondering if there were more names than TOPO! shows. Is this info in climbing books or are you that familiar with the area? I was amazed at the detail you provided for the Buckindy photo posted a while back too. Spire photo was taken on same trip as Buckindy photo when I fished Bench, Woods and Slim late August 02.

Dave, Names are from Beckey’s Green Guide. I’m not that familiar with the area. But, I’ve been on Steeple (267k) and Spire (197k). Your B-W-S fishing tour sounds like a great trip. Did you get to the gap north of Slim and scope out the route to the South Fork Cascade River Drainage?

Hey IBEX, who is the long haired dude with bell bottom jeans that makes cameos in some of your photos?

Why that's my Bro TBEX; of course. Gots to have someone to carry the rope.

Ibex, good eye as usual. up.gif I have always thought the feature at the far left in this shot is The Steeple. Is that correct? Pretty sure far right is Spire Point.

Wish I'd had the time to explore more. Left Woods about noon after camping on ridge from Bench. Rainbows (8"-11") in Slim were hittin' dries and wouldn't let me leave 'till after 3.....had to work at 6 next morning....I was draggin' big time.

Yup. That's The Steeple; All right - On the left. When we first saw that dark monolith that capped the crest above Bachelor Meadows, it was before Beckey's Green guide was published in 1977. We dubbed the rocky tower "The Spinster". The Spinster of Bachelor Meadows. From Itswoot Ridge on the far right is the West Peak. Spire Point's true summit is just off the frame; further right.

Looks like Constance and Warrior, A and B. Inner Constance to the left of Warrior and back a bit. C.....hmmm....Boulder Peak? Looks like The Minaret down the ridge (the pointy one).
