Took a detour on the way to Portland Sunday in order to take advantage of my Mission Ridge Pass to ski free at White Pass.  My first time there and I was impressed. On Tuesday, I made my way up to Mt. Hood Meadows under perfect spring conditions.  By 11:00, the runs had softened up nicely. Meadows is a great place to rack up a lot of vertical in a day, with the Cascade Express lift topping out at 7,300 ft. I'll head up to Mission for one last gasp this week for what looks to be a rock-dodging slushfest.   Mt. Hood Meadows 4/2/07  White River Canyon  Hood
