Snow is forecast this weekend at 3000' or so, depending on the day and so forth. Both Olympics and the Cascades. Now where to go... east or low? Or just bundle up?

On our way back from eastern Wa. yesterday, there was fresh snowfall on some of the lower peaks along the US 2 corridor west of Stevens Pass. Just a light dusting. BW

Melakwa Lake didn't see any snow. Up @ 4000 feet we didn't see any snow. Just a few rain drops, but we should be used to that by now!

We got snowed on at 4000' Saturday, near Darrington on Iron Mountain (Helena Ridge). The sun came out just as we reached the summit! Sweet! Trip report on wta.org...
