After spending the morning checking out Dirty Harry's Museum, CHawk, 8Buck and I stopped by Rattlesnake Lake and decided to make a quick run up Cedar Butte.
About this time last year, I visited this same trail, but couldn't enjoy the views due to heavy/low cloud cover. This trip provided improved views, but we were feeling the time crunch of returning to the car before it was locked into the parking lot.
We huffed up, we huffed down... total trip time was about 1 hr & 45 minutes.
This trail was quite the opposite of the Dirty Harry trail. DH trail was wide with lots of large and small rocks whereas Cedar Butte trails are narrow with crowding greenery.
No snow... but a little bit of rain and then a downpour of hail just as we returned to our vehicle. What great timing!
