Er... I don't think we're the best people to ask about that:

I think he meant Verlot. |
Surely you'll realize that "Silverton" is simply an anagram for "Sin Verlot"

2.5 hrs of sleep, paying for an unexpected sat night Cinco de Mayo celebration and a still bum ankle didn’t stop me from getting to the top of this one. Not that it all didn’t try!!
I want to thank Randy for putting together such an awesome trip. I want to thanks everyone for such and incredible day!! Thanks to all of you(especially Randy, Donb, and Carla for there tireless kick steps and wallowing) for making such good solid steps for my ankle!! My ankle thanks you all...group and Del Campo crossing the stillquamish river to gain access to waterfall gully. beginning the waterfall gully 1 label Yana after we dry tooled up through trees and dirt/mud at a little step. summit of morning star to the right (Large cornice). Route is in the notch between the two. Then drops out of site to the traverse and summit gully. 1 label the brief views we got fro mid climb cloud deck quickly dropping. the traverse Starting up the gully after the traverse. would not want to be in the summit gully when this breaks off!!!! cool cornice pib and cartman at summit summit Yana summit gully descent. Steep stuff! Wallowing Is this the way I am supposed to hold the axe when glissading? hahahah.... city boy pose... fun slick crossing
We had some issues with some avy danger as was report on another tr. Our tracks up to the saddle obliterated by a very large slide . We think (not sure cause we could not see above us with the clouds) it was a cornice that broke off high above. Makes since after looking at my images. I can see maybe what cornice it was and the gully it slid down. We also talked to klenke and JeffR (through the windows of moving cars on the highway!! ) and they had issues with wet slides too. Avy danger is not over yet folks!!!
Hey guys...I think the highest cornice to the left is the one that broke off and created the large slide covering our tracks. Looks like it slide right down the gully. Makes since cause of the path it took. EEEKKK!!!!! I know the tracks were here. standing in the fresh avy debris looking up to see were it came from... Large avy debris (poor shot) our tracks are under there somewhere...DOH!!! before Yanas gliassed/avy after "Yana's avy". She was the first to glissade down this one. It created a fairly large slide. Sketchyyyy......
All I have to say is what a great group of folks to spend the day in the mountains with! Love ya all!! Thanks!!
Burgers!!!! city boy laughs....then crawls under the table!

Wow! Thanks for sharing all the great photos and videos.
Looks like we all got suckered into believing we were going to have better weather. Our trip up to Devils Peak had us covered in a white-out as we reached the col.
I'm still dreaming about getting up to Morningstar, but not adding that 4 mile RT road walk to it. Been there and done that in April of 2004, on my trip to Lewis Peak.
Tazz, thanks for filling in the blanks with your pics, yours were the missing links that I really wanted to see.
I'd like to get up there when the road is cleared (should be real soon). A trip in the next week or two would be optimal. Anyone interested send me a PM.

This was a great trip! Good times up and down the mountain! I didn't take a lot of shots, but here are a few. I'm looking forward to seeing Matt's!
