I had a very nice day of rock and snow scrambling on Earl Peak. The snow was much icier than I have ever encountered in the Teanaway this time of year. Crampons would have been very useful. There is still plenty of snow above 5000' and the 3600' trailhead is completely snow free. I have posted a full report but it will be a few days before I have photos up. It was blindingly bright and I was very pleased to see that the photos turned out much better than I expected.
Earl Peak
Photos are now posted for this hike. I did a miserable job of choosing my favorite shots and ended up with 36 photos. If you like snowy peaks or want to get an idea of snow conditions in the Teanaway area give them a look. The link is in the post above.
This report puts me above 1000 photos on my site and counting.
