Road is good to the trailhead. One tricky spot.
The trail is Ok, but snow starts around 4,000 ft just before cresting the ridge. Routefinding was a little tricky but not bad -- look for cut trees, blazes and some flags. The trail is visible in small patches here and there as you traverse toward the lake, then reappears around 4,100 ft descending to the lake. The lake is mostly snow covered with the only open area at the inlet.
Nice trees once you get away from the clearcut at the trailhead. Doug firs, cedars, pacific silver firs and maybe some spruces if I guessed right. Biggest one around 5 ft in diameter.
