Anyone out there own one of these bad boys? It's a '98 closeout, and I can get one for $120. Since my TNF down jacket was worn firediving, I need to find a new way to stay warm. My slumberjack 30 deg guidelite extreme isn't quite warm enough, although it's most definietly light enough. The ALPS is just a bit heaver at 2lbs 12 oz, but that's lighter than my slumberjack + down jacket. I have read some good reviews, anyone here own/tested one? Thanks, R

Yep, I got one
Rob, I own one. There's a review on www.backpackgeartest.org that I wrote. It's not the lightest, not the greatest down, but it's a great bag for a screamin' deal. I, too, got it for $120. I've had a Big Agnes Horsethief and a Marmot synthetic bag during the same couple of years. Sold both of them, kept the Alps. Great loft, tough, super cut. Let me know if you have any specific questions. -Curt
