I'm so jealous! Your avatar even looks a little like me (see my picture at Royal Basin in trip reports). Seriously though, is that a picture you took? It looks very professional.

No worries. You can have it. It's just a silly picture, no emotional attachment what so ever.
Thanks for the pitcher offer... can we make it soda in stead since I hate beer?

Miss Normandy, how did you get your name? Have you been to France? And are you in search and rescue?

Pop it will be, or actual ice cream if that's cool.

I was born and raised in Normandy Park, WA. North of Des Moines, South of Burien and right beneath the SeaTac flight path.
I envy and admire all those involved in SAR and fully intend to join them someday when I graduate from college and have a crappy job I hate and and need to play hookey from to stay sane.

A good plan Miss Normandy. I happened by a SAR operation last year. Everyone had dispersed on their mission but there were remnants of a huge pancake feed that had happened earlier. Boy, a day off work and free food, what a deal.
My dog and I were later mistaken for part of the SAR crew. I thought about playing along but fessed up that I was just another potential customer.

Whenever someone told me their dog was a "rescue dog", I thought they meant their dog saved people. Then a lady told me her tiny poodle was a rescue dog, and I asked her how such a little dog could rescue anyone. She looked at me as if I was an idiot and told me that "rescue dog " meant the dog came from a shelter and was rescued by its owner. I still laugh out loud whenever I think about it.

I have friends in mountain S&R, and a friend in the dog-assisted S&R. The dog folks train them to find avalanche victims, lost people, dead people, Alzheimer folks who wander off, etc. All good stuff.

Is a dog bought from a pet store a 'shopping dog'?

Are you sure that's a picture of a male slug, Slugman, that you inherited from Miss N.? Wouldn't want you to be embarrassed. Oh wait, come to think of it slugs can go both ways. Handy in a pinch.
