Missed the sunset.
What I did get to see was:
Police helicopters, swat team members, Life Flight, and a bunch of
news reporters.
The shoot out with the escaped felon was in my apartment complex.

Nope, I don't have much of a view to the west (unless I'm in the office at work).

Nope, missed it.
The best sunset I ever experienced was while perched on top of Enchantment Peak.
The entire horizon was lit up with brilliant reds and oranges, and as the sunlight receded, the sky shifted to more of a vibrant spectrum of color...the reds and oranges at the horizon gradually giving way to greens and blues and purples overhead.
Absolutely breathtaking...haven't experienced one like it in the 10-15 years since.

Here's one from a few months ago in Wenatchee looking west from my back yard. A lot better in person as the whole sky looked like this for a while.
