I e-mailed to to keep that darn road open. Double dittos, as someone said.

I'm confused because I thought the road didn't go any further than the Dingford Creek trailhead anyway! Perhaps I'm thinking of a different trailhead, but I thought the very end of the road WAS the Dingford Creek trailhead.

My email is off too. I'd prefer the road to be left open, but I could live with a gate at Dingford and mountain bike access (though the "odd days" proposal is dumb).

Did anybody bother to even read the environmental analysis before sending in their comments? I'm planning on reading the entire document and thinking about all the alternatives and considering their environmental and social implications before sending in any comments.

Downloaded it and read it. Keep the road open!

Plan E: not so bad.
Hooray Item: MFK trail open to crankbikes.
Stoopid Item: Even/odd day nonsense.
Futility Item: Gating the road. Save money on steel tubing, labor and concrete and don't gate anything. Let whoever has the clearance and the energy drive the road and saw logs off it when they fall. The road will probably gate itself when the next big washout happens (again) at MP 5.8 past the Taylor River intersection. Dingford then will have a "concrete mystery bridge" a la Big Creek on the Taylor.

I'm confused... is the Dingford Creek trailhead before or after the bridge to the Taylor River trailhead? If it's before, then I thought that was the Middle Fork trailhead.

The M FK Trailhead is just before the Taylor River Trailhead. Dingford is about 5.5 miles further up river (M FK). The map that Tom posted illustrates this.
