Started our trip up Buck Creek from Trinity Sunday Morning at about 11:00 A.M. The trail is in excellent shape with just a handfull of downed trees. There are lots of small stream crossings to get water so don't forget your filter, (I did). This trail is a very nice shaded, valley bottom hike with a few tanatalizing views early on which just get better and better. We turned at 3:00 and were within about 1 1/2 miles of Buck Pass and Flower Dome. This is a long, moderately graded hike and is probably best as an overnighter as there are a number of places to camp in the upper valley. There was neligible snow to the pass and a huge surprise...no bugs until dusk and 1/4 mile from the Jeep.
Northwest face of Buck Mountain from the upper valley portion of the trail.
