The trail was in good shape up the the last chute up to Headlee Pass except there was a treacherous creek crossing that required a tight rope act to get across and a few blowdowns.
The chute up to headlee pass was a little tricky and almost requires an ice axe on the way up becuase the consistency of the snow made it very slick. I had to self arrest twice on the way down so I recommend having an ice axe.
From there on to Vesper peak was pretty easy there was no snow until the little lake below the summit which was still frozen over.
The hike was awesome but if you go on a hot and sunny day make sure to wear sunscreen and a hat because the trail offers very little shade.
