I need to get up to the NE section of the Olympics to get in some hikes there. Does anybody know the current conditions for the area? At what elevation does the snow start?

Despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt.

I'd suggest calling the Olympic National Park visitor center to get current information at 360-565-3131. I do know the Deer Park road is still closed. As far as snow level goes, the Sol Duc road on the NW corner is closed at the resort due to snow, which is around 1500 feet. The northeast area is a bit drier so it may be a little higher. The visitor center should have a better estimate.
