This trail felt like a roller coaster, except that the real steep parts came at the end. Hiked up to the bluff overlooking Lower Palisades Lake. Mt.Baker visible in far distance. Unfortuneately also some clearcuts at the park's border. Trail to Lower Palisades Lake not maintained. Mosquitos were out in force. Meadows starting to be covered with Magentas. Moderate foot traffic for a Friday.

Good idea to do it early. It was pretty hot today, especially climbing up those last hundreds of feet.

That and to avoid all the tourists lol.gif Made that mistake on thursday, and got stuck in the last mile with lost tourists, bugs and a hot sun!
