biggrin.gif Man what words can I write here to describe how awesome this place was not just a hike or a camping trip, but an experience. We made it there on a Wed around 5pm the campground was almost full. We thought we were going to escape the crowd, but found a nice site. That eve we made the trip up to the top of the mountain. Once on top the view is nothing short of amazing. You can see out over the sound, Victoria Island, several other snow covered mountian tops, and the town of Port Townsend WA. The campground was in great shape and made for an enjoyable camping experience. The nice cold air during the night put me right to sleep redface.gif . No bugs, lots of stars, and occasional late night crying baby in the site next to you (at least in my case) along with the great views make this a must visit on anyones list.
up.gif  up.gif  up.gif --- I give it 3 thumbs up out of 4 possible.

Amen to that, Wild. A truly beautiful place. Did you hike out to the east or west from there at all?

Larry,

Actually I have only hiked south on the 4.3 mi trail to Cameron Creek. Just made that a day trip. It was nice and the creek made for an excellent photo opportunity.
