Moosefish, that's Lake 6110 on the Grand Valley trail.  We hadn't heard of any names for those lakes, so we decided to get creative.  We dubbed the area the "Milky Way Lakes" for their milky colors and named the high points and lakes after constellations.  I believe we called that one Big Dipper Lake, with the little one by it Little Dipper.  We have more, but we'd hate to bore everyone.  wink.gif

Lake 22 actually did make it in this thread about a zillion pages ago.

yukon222 is teasing us with the plural "lakes" - it's a single shoe.

Here's a scan of an old lake pic.  Good luck!
Lakes I visited a long time ago. I hope they are still there.

Lost Lake?  Near Nason Ridge?

Nope.  Go way south.  Not as many NWHikers in that area.

Borank got this one back a page.  He beat me to it - I've never been there but it's been on my wish list for years!

It is definitely worth a visit.  We did a one-way trip from the White Pass ski area south along the high ridges, down to Shoe Lake and down into the Tieton river drainage to a 2nd vehicle.  Excellent views from high on the ridge south of White Pass.

I must admit I doubted my own answer for the simple reason that yukon would never do anything as mundane and non-challenging as Lost Lake!   biggrin.gif

I have to admit that I remember the photo from the 100 Hikes in Western Washington book, so I guess I must share the credit with rdyhiker and the Springs. biggrin.gif
