Gem? I was actually being a smart ass about it being "Snow Lake." Cuz it was snowy. winksmile.gif

Source Lake? (I'm only guessing that because of the clues as well as the number of skiers). Kendall Peak Lakes is another guess. I don't have much confidence in that guess either.

Yeah, I'd have guessed Source Lake, and for the same reasons.

Edit: I'm even more surprised to realize it's not the lake I thought it was. That's the second time I've done that on this thread. The perils (for me at least) of going back and looking at unlabeled photos. This is better looking than the named lake anyway.
Let's not forget about this lake that Abert posted.

I was hoping that would quietly go away. I left it up in case someone had been looking for it even after my disclaimer. Here's the named lake I thought I was posting.

I did find an interesting old thread about remote Olympic lakes when I was searching to see if this lake had been in the "name that lake" thread. It's neat how many really pretty tarns and fairly substantial lakes you can come across walking Olympic ridges.

Hi Abert. I seem to remember that named lake being named after an OK filling for donuts (I visited it on a solo traverse after I sweated through 4 liters of water on an 85 degree day... it felt so good to dunk my head in it after having spent the last 1 and a half hours with no water). As for the other one... it kind of reminds me of something in the yrref Basin... in fact I camped right next to it back in 2014 a few hours after refilling water at the other one.

Dehydrated backpacking donuts? Good camp choice, meck.

Responding to the most recent post. So far y'all are checking them off but no one's guessed it yet.

Checking another off the list, but nope. Might as well throw in a clue at this point: It's on a fairly popular BC ski touring route.

Hmm. That actually might work. I could see that topography and those trees look more Melakwa Lake'ish than the other lakes suggested, such as Source. ~z Edited to add Bedivere's response which I had not yet seen.
