Lower Hardscrabble and Obvious Gully are obvious once HB identifies them for me. Props to Tom for creative clues that I also did not understand until after the fact.

That was actually was a tough one. Could have sworn I've looked down on that view before. Kanim and Rowena seemed like they might fit but nope. After scouring online topos and aerials for lakes of that shape it's the only one that seemed to fit. Looks a bit different than the only online pic I could find, posted here by Edd:

FiveNines - Your first photo is definitely Hardscrabble. This is a beautiful photo, but can you check again and say that it's Hardscrabble? Nothing looks right. I wish I had a good guess about what lake it is, but can't place it.

Puzzler, I began by commenting on hikerbiker's identification of Tom's photos of Hardscrabble. Tom's post is on the previous page.
Since there were no open IDs I posted a new lake, which Tom correctly sussed out as Elsey. Hope this clears up confusion. |
