Randy, you'd better offer more than that for that crap! Just because YOU'RE nuts doesn't mean the rest of us are.... Although I'd love to talk to you about that Nazanne trip. winksmile.gif winksmile.gif winksmile.gif winksmile.gif winksmile.gif winksmile.gif winksmile.gif TB

Yawn, the equifax credit check doesn't pan out anyway. If I beat brush to a destination I'm going to enjoy it for a while.

lol.gif Actually, I don't do those sorts of trips anymore. They take their toll and get old after awhile if ya know what I mean. Better things up high.

You missed the point. Anyone can get anywhere when we're talking lakes. The point of offering money is not to pay for your enjoyment, but for me to hear of your suffer-fest. I would have thought some of that peakbagger mentality would have worn off on you by now. lol.gif

Well, that was one great trip Tom took me on. I recomend it to anyone.
Sounds like you guys had fun BPJ. That's a bummer about your camera. How much did your packs weigh for this one? How much do those rafts weigh?

I guess the packs were around 20-25lbs.. The rafts weight in at around two pounds, maybe a little less. It was a great trip, worth the broken camera. TB

Just checked my spreadsheet. My pack weight was just over 22 lbs without water, slightly under 27 lbs with water. We probably could have saved a pound or two each if we shared a tent, stove, and fuel. 2 years ago I never would have believed I could have camped in style on a 4 day trip carrying this little weight but in all honesty I had everything I needed and nothing I didn't (ignoring a luxury or two).

Thanks Tom, I have a ways to go yet to get down to what you guys are carrying. I am carrying about 15 to 20 pounds less than a few years ago and after I get my new pack and sleeping bag I should be down to about 34 pounds.

Anyway, you DON'T get the money regardless. McFarnell beat you up there, so even under my original constraints you're still not a winner. lol.gif
Yeah, so where is that money anyway? bawl.gif wink.gif winksmile.gif Hey guys, sounds like an awesome trip you had! I've been to some of those places, and would love to go to the ones I haven't been to (Iron Cap), etc. BTW, what exact route did you use heading from Otter to Azurite? I've always stayed on the right side of the creek, but maybe I should be crossing over right under the waterfall or something? That part to the right of the water fall is kind of freaky. eek.gif wink.gif

We stayed on the right side till about half way up. Crossed over and climbed till almost the top, then took this horizontal ramp across the creek and only a little climbing left to Azurite. TB

Anyone know of any other off-trail destinations similar to this? I really like going to remote places, especially if there's BIG fish. wink.gif I don't mind bushwhacking and stuff either.
lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif Like any of us ever go anywhere like THAT! Gimme a BREAK! wink.gif

Well, there are no fish in Iron Cap Lake as far as I know. Regarding off trail destinations with big fish, try Randy. He keeps telling me about this one lake, thinking I'm a hard core bushwhacking fisherman dumb enough to go there. embarassedlaugh.gif

You should PM people that you think might be able to help you, and NOT post a question like that on site. You'll get reactions like you have from certain people. TB
