After years of searching, I finally found good trail shoes. I found them at Ross's in Bellingham. They are Rockports and tested out great on a recent eight miler. I see that someone is selling a bunch of them at ebay. They must be a discounted line since ther are going in the thirties. These were originally over $100.00 a pair They worked well for trail running also. It took about 5 purchases over seven years to come up with something that worked for me. I started with the more classic leather ones and decided they were overkill and to darn heavy, but finding the right soft shoes has been a chore. Anyone in need can check out ebay and see if they are still for sale. The fit on mine was one size less than my usual.
