The pissed off ones who want me banned fell for it. Let it be an example for the rest of you.

Get real! You guys are serious? I play a prank and this is your attitude? Did your computer break or was your life threatened? No, I think not!
Oh, let em guess...malicious behavior deserves immediate punishment and banning, right?

No dude, you are too uptight. I feel the love!
Now for the real reason I posted it in the first place:
This website (http://www.pivx.com/larholm/unpatched/) indicates that 31 vulnerabilities continue to exist in Microsoft Internet Explorer as of Sept. 11, 2003. These vulnerabilities include:
Media bar ressource injection
file-protocol proxy
NavigateAndFind protocol history
window.open search injection
NavigateAndFind file proxy
Timed history injection
history.back method caching
Click hijacking
Re-evaluating HTML elavation
ADODB.Stream local file writing
Notepad popups
protocol control chars
What I provided us is a perfect example of social engineering which essentially relies on your trust. You trust me not to do any thing malicious so you click the link. Once you link to the malicious website, script is executed. This can also happen with email exploits. Luckily, this was only a joke but there's black hats out there that make the script kiddies like idiots. Script kiddies can be harmful too because their antics can cause bad things to happen, loss of data, erase files, etc. Black hats are usually after specific types of information e.g., credit card numbers, passwords, and can install keyloggers and other programs that do bad things. Be careful boys and girls. There are bad people out there. Especially don't download and execute a program from someone you don't know. You could end up losing control of your own computer.
You can visit computer security sites that will probe for vulnerabilities in your system at:
http://www.dslreports.com
http://www.trojanscan.com/trojanscan/ http://www.trojanscan.com/security/ (check email security
http://www.pcflank.com
More info is available at:

Let me guess, you are too slow to realize that control + alt +del gets you into the task manager which will allow you to end the program before it stalls your computer and causes you to flip the switch. Then you had to wait for it to boot again right?
The link at the top will then launch the scrpt kiddy. You then imediately hit control + alt +del which will allow you to end the session before it corrupts your computer and causes it to turn the machine off.
You thought this thread was just to piss you off? How thoughtful.

For those who don't know, any Windows application, including a bouncing browser that screams "You are an idiot," can be killed by pressing the ALT and F4 keys simultaneously.
In the case of troutman's link, it takes a rapid, double ALT-F4 to kill it.
I thought it was pretty funny, but I imagine those who were chasing the window around with their mouse probably didn't.
Reminds me of the "Free Cup Holder" website featuring a button that when pressed, would open your CD-ROM drive. Ta-da! A cup holder!
Fortunately, Microsoft was quick to fix that exploit.

HOW DID IT KNOW????
Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I tried chasing the thing around my screen and clicking on the buttons. Twice I was able to get it to start reproducing itself (not sure if I clicked on Refresh or Home) where it kept making copies of itself until my computer crashed.

ALT-F4 will do the trick, as well as CTRL-ALT-DEL and kill all the IEXPLORE.EXE processes. Pretty funny, if you ask me.
