A long drive for a short hike but even in the rain it was a sweet hike. The 3-mile trail follows the shoreline of the lake with moody views today, old pilings, a waterfall, and a blizzard of falling leaves. To get there drive to Bellingham and drive the North Shore Road to it's end and the trailhead. If you live up north, it's also a great trail for runners. Wish it was closer!
