Went to Thorpe LO w/ Mssr. Alan Bauer, rubberlegs, MtnMike, JP. I had never been there before. Fall is still quite generous with her color here. A little bit of rain; plenty of squalls all around us, making several rainbows and sweeping angel-hair looking clouds dipping into the deep green valleys dotted with stands of bright yellow aspen and vine maple groves. Toward the north we could see the base of the snow-clad mountains; the tops were obscured by black clouds, flat on the bottom, looking like plates. Lake Cle Elum with the sunglint shining on it looked like a mirror; occasionally wind would rough it up and the surface would rasp, then it would calm down again and be like shining glass. Great company, great short hike to one of the prettiest summits I have seen in quite some time! Well worth the drive. I recommend this one. The ridge walk before the summit is one of the prettiest ridge walks around. Its exactly like Kennedy ridge, only different.

Doesn't look like you were *quite* on the Mt. Stuart B, more like Easton Schist. Look at page 21 of the Beckey Brown, see for your fine self. I didn't figure anyone invited you. The only reason I ever do is because I know you have a little complex about having been adopted and all of that. I feel sorry for you.

what does Beckey Brown know, anyway? I met her before and she's dumb. Besides, there's no such thing as schist. The whole thing about schist was all just a marketing scam. I'm not adopted you are. They said you'd deny it. It's the first step in the process of acceptance.
1. You and I both know that schist is gneiss. 2. Looks like somebody needs to take a dose of their own Denial medicine. Poor thing.
