I remember back in the 70's Mountain House sold a freeze-dried shrimp coctail. No boiling required and quite tasty. Good to have while dinner was cooking, along with a tequila sunrise from powdered mixer. Anybody remember those?

Wonder bread is the perfect bread for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They're SUPPOSED to be smashed! That's how they taste best! Better yet, replace the jelly with marshmallow cream and have yourself a Fluffernutter. up.gif

Ultralight Joe's Moose Goo!
I carry sunflower seeds, flour tortillas, and a squeeze tube of homemade Ultralight Joe's Moose Goo. This combination is light and gives me plenty of energy.

No sir, you are not correct. Wonder Bread is only the best tasing food when compared to battery acid and dirty fryer oil from the Licton Springs Taco Bell.

I won't go into the mountains even for a day hike without FRITOS. biggrin.gif up.gif You can put them on your tuna sandwitch-ask Catwoman. I can put them in any freezedried meal I've tried, and they make a great trail snack. I pull them out about day 3 or 4 and watch everyone drool. Then I share. suuure.gif

Early reports back from the analysis of the soil samples taken from Mar's' surface indicate that it consists of Wonder Bread and that the existence of Wonder Bread is now being considered precondition for life on any planet. The two moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos, however, are made up of cheese, much like our own moon.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

The Licton Springs neighborhood is fine. It's no wonder that merchants would prefer to identify with it, rather than "that strip of Aurora out by the defunct Sambo's".

Did you know that Fritos also make good firestarters! Yes indeed they are highly flammable, I kid you not. How can you beat a multi-purpose item like that in your pack? For my day hikes though, I generally carry REAL peanut butter with a sprinkle of chipotle on my homemade rock-solid whole-wheat bread, and maybe a pat of butter spread in there for extra calories and to make it slide down better. chow.gif Toss in a few chunks of candied ginger, and a Fred Meyer Chocolate-Chocolate chip cookie or two, packing it all into those lightweight "semi-disposable" snap lid container(s). Luckily I do a lot of cool weather hiking. hmmm.gif
