We made a snowshoe trip up the trail today. Didn't make it that far before it got dark and we had to turn back, but it didn't help that we started at about 4. It was raining on the way up and quickly turned to huge flakes on the way down. Someone had been up there earlier (possibly today) with snowshoes and a dog. Other than that, it was pretty empty. Good luck to anyone going all the way, it's not looking to hard but pack extra pants, your going to get wet on the way up. There is plenty of water on some parts of the trail still.

We parked the car on the main road before the bridge (no 4x4) and snowshoed right up untill the trail starts to head uphill to the first mine but before the slide area. It got dark fast, but if we had left earlier, we could have made it to the city site. there was about 1-2 feet of snow in the open but under the trees, nothing. Might be possible to 4x4 pretty far with some guts.
