Bingo! Camp was on top of still frozen Chain Lakes on the way to Hinman.

Can anyone name all the peaks, subpeaks, ridges, divides here? Hadley Peak is in there somewhere, for example. Chowder Ridge? Skyline Divide? Heliotrope Ridge? Black Buttes? Lincoln Peak? View from Church Mtn.

Hey, thanks Schroder and Tom_S for the labels. 23 of them, might be a record for one photo.

This is more of a question about what I'm looking at. I was looking through my flickr images yesterday for a photo of Liberty Ridge to use with our story about the tragedy and realized that just about any photo of it that I had were on my home computer. I had this one image but couldn't exactly figure out the angle. Is Liberty Ridge directly to the left and over the heads of the hikers in this shot? I think that's Echo Rock behind them. Thanks for any help.
LIberty Ridge, scene of an awful tragedy on the mountain last week, is in profile to the left of the hikers. Echo Rock is directly behind them. The Willis Wall is to the far left.

You are correct, Liberty Ridge is the rightward slanting ridge to the left of the left climber's head. Ptarmigan Ridge is center, and Mowich Face and Edmunds Headwall to the right.

Thanks, Tom. I was pretty sure but didn't want to use it without confirmation. What a sad event in the mountain's history.
