A quick report for the snow levels I saw Sunday. Cayuse Pass, MRNP -- Open with about 10 feet of snow at the pass. Snow levels decend pretty low, well past Deer and Panther Creeks to the south. Most of the Eastside Trail is still under snow. White Pass, US-12 -- Pretty much snow free even at the pass. The slopes at the crest had just enough snow to cover them, but it was very thin. Pretty warm up there this weekend. FS-46, GPNF -- Thought about hiking into the Goat Rocks Wilderness while I was in the area, but the trail I wanted was at the end of this road, which is blocked by an avalanche about 4 miles up. Lots of deer and grouse on the road.
