I just returned from a fabulous first exploratory visit to the Pender Harbour area of BC's Sunshine Coast. I travelled there having access to a cottage from now on and plan to return often this Spring/Summer to explore more of the area. I only did a short but breathtaking hike in the Francis Point Marine Park this time out and have posted a new album of around 100 pics from this trip to share with you all. Please let me know what you think. My Sunshine Coast Trip Pictures Glenn dizzy.gif

Looks interesting. Where exactly is Pender Harbour?

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I've traveled there by boat and concur -- great place, Canada, no wars, just bucolic setting. One can almost feed themselves with a shovel, beach exploration, fishing pole and crab trap -- gotta buy beer though.

westcoasterboy, Family and I are going up to Vancouver this friday, Saturday and Sunday. We were thinking of Grouse Mtn as tourist, first time for the kids, visit. Any recomendations for Grouse or best family entertainment? Kids are 8 and 14. Don't understand cryptic message above.

Grouse
That sounds great. Have a good time. Science World also may be of interest and Stanley Park. But Grouse Mountain would be very nice. Have fun!

Westcoasterboy-I'd love to read more of your trip reports as you travel this summer. I've always meant to get up to those islands but don't really know where to start, which I'l like best, what island is best for kayaking, hiking, etc.
