I still can't believe we got Haniger and Segura for Tijuan Walker and I forget who else. Last I heard, Walker is having Tommy John surgery or something like that. We definitely got the better end of the deal.
Felix.....I don't know about him. I think he may be done. I do hope he comes around and pitches better. I really like Marco Gonzales...really does a good job of mixing his pitches and Le Blanc...I call him Jamie Moyer 2.0. Paxon and Mike Leake are great!
It could be very well our year to go all the way. This coming week is critical....we got a series with the damn Angels and need to win that series. Every game is important, but the division rival games are even more so. We need to finish at second place to get a wild card spot or win the division.

I’ll bet we can at least hold off on choking until the playoffs. It’s totally the year for that. This week is indeed critical. Going up against the best team in baseball is going to be darn tough. It’s going to feel like the World Series for sure and I’ll bet stands will be packed because when Red Sox Nation come to town you can plan on it. Good bye baseball. Go M’s. True to the blue!

Why would Red Sox fan show up to watch the Mariners play the Yankees?

The Sox are currently playing the Orioles, so I'm fairly confident that my statement will ring true. Regarding your hypothetical game, I would be the world's second biggest M's fan on said day, especially since the M's are my 2nd favorite team! True to the blue!
You never answered my question Tom. See you this Sunday? I'm shooting for Friday night too...

Nah, not that important to me. Good to hear the Red Sox have some easy games. I'm sure it would be traumatic for you if the Yankees continue to have the better record.

You do realize that everyone in the same division plays the same opponents, right? Yanks, Sox and O’s are all in the same division. *I would think a real fan would know that.*
Regarding not finishing with the best record... Why would that be traumatic? It would set up the battle of I-90 in the first round of the playoffs assuming the Mariners keep it together. I’d get to go to home games at Fenway West and watch my two favorite teams battle! Too bad you’re not going; from the attention you give this thread I assumed you were a huge fan, super true to the blue! Good bye baseball!

Well, the Red Sox have already played more games against the Orioles than the Yankees so I'm not sure why you brought it up to begin with? With all the mental gymnastics to show the Red Sox have the best record in baseball when the current standings show otherwise, I can only conclude it must be traumatic.

I don't know what's going to happen with the remaining part of the Mariners season - winning all these 1-run games and having such a low run differential does not inspire much confidence - but I can't believe how much fun it is to finally watch games where your team wins on a regular basis. I'd forgotten the feeling! I'm thoroughly enjoying the moment.

Just swept the Angels and they are now 20 games over .500. Who saw this start coming?

I've been fighting it, saying no no no, they are not going to suck me back in. No.
But I have caught the disease: Mariner Fever.
They need to stay healthy, pick up a starting pitcher, and just keep doing what they are doing.

ETA: Watching the news on KOMO. This weekend is going to be awesome. According to KOMO “so many M’s fans are going to the game on Sunday it’s standing room only.” Best fans in baseball us M’s fans are!!! Everyone must have the same disease as sluggy. That’s totally it!!! Goodbye baseball!!! Super true to the blue!!!!

Sage advice from Seattle Mariners broadcaster, Jen Mueller. If you’re catching the virus that's going around this is a good place to pick up from 1995; I highly recommend watching it. Imagine how far out in front of everyone else you’ll be at the water cooler if you start adopting some of these practices! Mariners fans are the best and most knowledgeable in baseball but it never hurts to brush up!
Go M’s!!! True to the blue!!!! Goodbye baseball!!!
