Is anyone planning to watch Frontier House tonight on PBS? (Standard disclaimer here:) I don't watch much television, but I think it ought to be interesting to see three modern-day families try to cope with life as it was on the American Frontier in the late 1800s. The promo showed a guy heading for the outhouse and grabbing some leaves....let's hope they weren't poison oak!

A fuxk, why do I not give one?

I saw a funny preview of that a few weeks ago where a guy lost it trying to churn butter, with a voiceover saying "finding out the 'good old days'....weren't". Looks pretty good. I'm not much fore "reality" shows, but this looked pretty interesting.

A good friend of mine's mom is the teacher on that show. I would really like to catch a couple episodes. When is it on?

It was on from 9-11pm last night. I watched about 5 minutes and was reminded how much I dislike "reality" shows, so I turned it off.

Fantastic show. Puts the reality back where it belongs, IMO, by showing just how the reality of back to "nature" really works out. A must for folks against high yield farming, "unnatural" foods, and the evils of technology. See just how life was, when the life expectancy was 40 instead of 79 , and subsistence farming and the much romanicized semi agrarian life really just meant an early death from many, many "natural" causes such as starvation, broken bones, etc! Not to mention childbirth.
