This isn't northwest stuff (as is evident by the abundance of sunshine in the pictures), so I'm putting it in the bar and grill. Several years ago my brother and I took a trip to the southwest. We drove through death valley, but fortunately were able to take one hike in a place called Golden Canyon. I think I've mentioned before how much I liked the hike. We only did a few miles of it but I think you could go in 5 if you wanted to. It was early september, and in the mid eighties that morning. Mid-summer may be quite a different story. Maybe the below pictures will tide some people over until the snow melts.

Wow, that's a different world! Very cool. Thanks for sharing a different part of the world, one that I've never had the opportunity to hike in.

A fuxk, why do I not give one?

I guess bushwhacking isn't nearly as popular in that region (what with the complete and utter lack of vegetation and all). Thanks for the pics! Mother Nature sure puts on some different faces but I can't argue one over the other.
