I?m thinking of investing in some mountaineering boots for glacier travel this summer.
What I?ve been looking at are:
Koflach Degre, which seems to be the standard for most rentals
Scarpa Alpha Ice Boot
Lowa Civetta
La Sportiva Eigar
The Scarpa and Lowa seem to be smaller in bulk size than the Koflach?s or La Sportiva?s.
La Sportiva looks to be a shade lighter.
And it would be nice if they would work well with snowshoes and not a very technical use in mind.
Anyone out there have any experience with these or others?
How?s the feel, warmth, break in, blisters? Do they leak and if so under what conditions?
Thanks,
NN
It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.
