It was raining this morning and I have lots of work to do, so a close-in valley hike was the name of the game. Off to Twin Falls. Shortly after arriving (probably around 11, we'd also taken a car detour down edgewick road a bit beyond the turnoff to check out the rebuidling bridge), the main parking lot was full but not the sides of the road, except for a few people parking way up perhaps to escape the reach of the iron ranger. Then 12 cars arrived all at once in a line. The trail is in excellent condition, it must receive lots of maintnence. It is flagged for a bit more work. Although there were clumps of people (one group had about 20 people in it), it wasn't that bad. Certainly not a place for solitude on weekends! Only saw two slugs. Salmon berries are in all stages--saw one ripening berry, lots of green berries and a very few blossoms left.
