Originally planned on hiking Granite Mountain. However, a change in plans led me to look closer to home. Only views at the top were those of utter whiteness (whiteout). I learned a few lessons on this hike, and I'm very grateful for meeting somebody much wiser and more experienced on the way. If it wasn't for this individual this hike could have been a nightmare experience.

Even in your "backyard" Mother Nature can take you down. You definitely should get more hiking clothes and bring them with you.
Too bad it was so cloudy.

Yes I was quite the adventure.. This has been my most memorable trip so far this year. Since REI is having their anniversary sale starting Friday, I'm going to mosey on down and get some good warm clothes.

Sierra TP rocks. But it's all about timing, because everything is closeout. I have saved hundreds of dollars over the years.
