Greetings all,
I spent an hour in the yakima river canyon/umpanem canyon area today, and the bighorns were covering the east wall. I got some cute shots of the little ones, then pulled into the umptanem rec area. I headed up the trail into umtanem canyon, heaving a sigh at the sight of two selah elementary school busses sitting in the parking lot. I met them coming out just past the railroad tracks. I was looking for snakes, but the stampede of kids had long since sent them packing. I spent some time at the beaver dam, doing homework and killing time, hoping to see something on the way out. No avail. I got my math done though. I am the only guy at central with bug juice and a first aid kit in my schoolbag!
Cheers,
R
