Was anybody up the Cascade river road this past weekend (6/8-9) or to Cascade Pass? I would like to know the current status of the road. I would like details! I know the road is gated at Eldorado Creek, but how is the road for mountain bikes?

Say Stefan, I called Mr. Ranger asking the same question. The road is closed 3 mi from the end. A giant avalanche has damaged the road. They say it'll be fixed and scheduled to be open July 20. They also say you can walk the road at this time. They also say the pictures of the damage are, like, totally awesome, dude! I don't know if they say anything else because I didn't ask them to say any more.
