I saw Horsetail falls last weekend. It's a real neat waterfall and very close to Hwy 410. Follow Bryan's instructions below. The falls are visible from road but a path takes you from the road to a better vantage point. There was more water in the falls last week than is shown in the picture. Well worth the side trip.

Brian. The Paradise Lakes outfall is the same type as Otter, a long slide on top of the bedding plane. The PL outfall is not quite as good, because the plane is tilted so the fall butts up against debris on one side. Still, the feeling is the same, a long sheet of rock with the stream flowing down it.
One difference is that your viewpoint is likely to be at the top looking down, rather than vica-versa.
Sorry, no pics.
Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!

Hmm. I'll have to check that one out. Gonna try to get up to Kanim in July, so I may be able to swing by there also (I assume that's the Paradise Lakes you're referring to?)
Polarbear - Good pic, more water than I got it with (horsetail). I don't have mine back yet, but I'll post it as soon as I get it (going to Oregon for the weekend to bag a whole buttload of falls, so there'll be lots more new stuff too).
I know of some small falls similar to Otter, but the only one I know of comprable size is Depot Creek Falls, just NW of Redoubt. Over 900 feet tall. The pics I've seen make it look like the most impressive waterfall in the state. Gotta get up there one day. Too bad you gotta cross the border to reach it (and you apparently need a passport now, which I don't have at the moment )
