Who me? I have no idea what brand it is. Bought it years ago. Single person tent.
Edit: Just pulled it out of the closet. Brand is Walrus. *shrug*

Both of my tents have doors at the wide end, so my head goes there. When I'm tarping I sleep in which ever orientation makes sense with the pitch I've used.

Head at door and sleeping bag zipper towards door as well. I like to be able to get in and out without having to play tent twister.

Bottom by door to expel nasty fumes...
Actually, I have yet to see a tent with a 'Door'. Sounds heavy and not very compact.

All of the new ones have doors. People want 'em I guess. If you are dividing up the gear, make sure someone else carries the door.

you have to figure in the fact if the bear is actually going to use the door to enter the tent

gosh - depends on my mood - sometimes feet at the entryway and sometimes head at the entryway - depends on if I want to lay and watch the birds on the water or the stars or if I have spooked myself out and think the bears are going to come get me - then it is definitely feet at the entryway

I prefer head by the door since in my case, Europa, the door area has much more space and the other end is tapered down to a pretty small nook. I prefer to feel like I can breath a little or turn over without having tent fabric touching my face.

Exactly. A bear will never enter through a tent door. It's not polite for a bear to go into someone else's tent uninvited. A bear willl just eat you tent and all. Although I assume that they spit out the poles, tent poles are kinda like chicken bones for man in tent eating bears.

I guess it depends on where I set up my tent and which way is facing uphill.

Whether you prefer head next to door or feet next to door you'd probably want your noggin on the uphill side of the tent whatever you choose or wake up with all your blood pooled in your head & a splitting headache.

Well, I've had two bears knock on my tent door. I refused them entry. It is easy to deal with the polite type of bear. I had another bear that wanted to eat me tent and all, but it first made the mistake of asking for salt and pepper, which I refused to turn over. Knowing how to deal with them can get you out of many a scrape.

if you want to figure out the smartest sleep positon>>

All we have to do is find out how our ancestors slept in their caves, they do have the most experience after all. If its a 46/56 percent ratio of different positions then it probably doesn't matter too much, but if its one way 90% over 10% the other. Just have to make sure that the caveman/woman died in their sleep, not in an animal fight or a stab wound. Then we know that they died of the natural causes and not because they slept in an unsafe position.
