I went to Cannon Beach with some co-workers a few years ago after tax season, a time where all you do is work and eat. For 6 weeks or more, food is brought in on a regular basis; a 3 meals, plus tons of snacks.
On the way down to Cannon Beach, we stopped for a potty break, and I was pleased to utilize a nice, comfy padded toilet seat. Later, we stopped again, and lo! another comfy, padded toilet seat. Then at the restaurant at dinner, another comfy padded toilet seat.
I commented to my freinds what a co-incidence it was that all the toilet seats in Oregon are padded. I announced I was going to go home & pack my trunks to move to Oregon.
Everyone gave me clouded, confused looks (I mean more than usual).
Turns out, none of the toilet seats were padded afterall. My fat ass was the only seat that padded.
So long story short, my own fat ass is my favorite toilet seat.

The outhouses in the village of a certain Central American country were on piers out over the water and the local pigs were free to roam around. Now sometimes the water level was low and the pigs are clever critters so they soon learned to notice whenever someone took a stroll out the pier. Nothing like lifting the lid to see a bunch of expectant faces looking up... and the bruja-ja that ensued was remarkable

I overheard that at work this morning. Overhearing something like that is pretty funny. I guess the Home Depot employees thought so too.

First time poster here. This looks like a very friendly and informative board. The fact that you have a thread about outback toilets is too funny. Please allow me to contribute. Here's one from Snow Lake in Mt Rainier National Park.

Welcome, trentmc. That's one cool toilet. I don't recall seeing one before with the optional external urinal.

It would take a bit of effort to get into this one any time soon.
It was a little easier back in January 2004.

Gotta agree with Grinch on this one. Unbeatable view. Although that thing on Mt. David sure looks cool.

I think jimmymac summed up the Mt. David outhouse best.
