My father in law asked me if I know anyone who might want his '60s or '70s vintage down parka. It's a THICK--at least 4" or 5" of loft--expedition style parka filled with prime northern goose down. He's got an elephant foot to go with it, too. If I can't find a taker, the parka will go to goodwill and my kids will use the elephant foot for a sleeping bag.

Give me a rough idea on the size of the parka. I'd love a nice old one! I'm 5'9, 150ish, think it would fit me?

I think the girth would be OK, but it might be too long. I think my father-in-law is a little over 6' and about 170.
Why don't you send me a private message telling me where and when you can meet me. Then I can give you that Jansport Summit Pack I said I would give you and you can check out the parka and elephant foot (even if it doesn't fit, there's enough down inside for a do-it-yourself project). I'll also bring the fabric so we can follow-up on that sewing project we discussed.
