Hi folks,
So my friend Dan and I plan to do part/all of the Rockwall Trail in Kootenay N.P. this fall. Have any of you been on this trail? I'd love to hear the war stories.
I've heard stories, don't have any myself. Sounds like one of the primo hikes in the rockies. There are several entrance / exit trails, so route variation is optional, but I've heard the best one is to go in on Helmet Creek, out on Numa Creek which makes a 40-50 km circut.
Be sure to post pictures after you get back...
I almost always post pics on my Web site. Part of the fun of backpacking in fact. Went to the Mt. Fitzwilliam area last fall and really enjoyed it.
I have a good map of the Rockwall that I got from the Friends of Kootenay. Good price too. The map has a lot of detail, is on waterproof paper, and cost only $11 Canadian. And it has some fine photos included.
