Was out this morning. Stretched the legs and pushed the bike up a fair amount up Hancock’s Comb (peak 4680+ ne of hancock lake)
Took the bike from the gate on a driveable road all the way up to around 4300 feet. From there I walked the depleted hillside road to the SE ridge. Walked the ridgeline up. There is no easy line in the ridgeline…you are just going to have to deal with the huckleberry bushes and small trees. Made the summit and signed the register by Fay. Took 45 minutes down from the summit to the car. Round trip was 3 hours 15 minutes car to car. Nice morning out. No wind. No rain. Nice views. Just the right temperature.
