Earl and Bean Peaks, 6/30/07 What is the essence of the Teanaway? It is rising at 5:00 AM on a Saturday morning, then driving three hours east to a remote trailhead.
It is trudging up dusty scree slopes under sunny skies to the top of Earl Peak.
It is standing in awe of the scenery, ingesting the views offered by the Stuart Range and surrounding peaks.
It is transcending oneself on a ridge traverse from Earl to Bean Peak.
It is impromptu, but good-natured snowball fights.
It is spending all day with good friends in beautiful country on a glorious summer day.
That, my friends, is the essence of the Teanaway! (Featured: Action Betty, Schmidt Altitude, Yet and Yours Truly) (Pics by Yet)

Cheers, Mesahchie Mark

I see I wasn't the only one besieged by butterflies in the Teanaway on Saturday. 2478 is my favorite "action" photo. :-)

I did get to hold everyones hand on this trip..it was a special moment for each of us..I am sure ..I promise I wont tell your significant others... just in case they didnt see lol.gif moon.gif Too bad we didnt get the end of the trail head pic.... Now you can take the rest of the year off! embarassedlaugh.gif Nice, different, minimalist writing style. I like up.gif (but then again, I am easily amused).

Glad you folks had fun! Looks like a great trip. Too busy on the home front to make it this weekend. How were bugs? I'm reading all the trs these days, and it sounds like the bugs are coming out in droves.
