Maybe you were referring to one of the replies but I didn't see the OP's edit as sarcastic, just simple and to the point as to why they decided to pull the TR, leaving it with as positive a vibe as they could. We don't place time limits on edits, if someone wants to remove something 15+ years after the fact, that's their call, as disappointing as it may be. The gist of our TR comment policy is to respect the choices of others (within reason), not to be used as your own personal soapbox, save that for a generic topic, or send a polite PM if you have an issue with something.

I think it's clear that the user N posted a genuine comment which bumped javman's email inbox. After which they returned and removed the post. Then timberghost made that comment to troll the forum.

I think if this had remained on page 129 of trip reports I would’ve been okay with that. A lot has changed in the 17 years since I posted this trip report. No offense meant to anyone.
