I've never been good at putting details into my reports and they come across somewhat flat and...mechanical. I can remember the little details about a trip that make it memorable to me but alas, I lack the talent to put the moments to words. But, I still wanna say something so I continue to try. Anyhoo, every now and then I come across a trip report that strikes a chord. This one in particular makes me wish I could be more eloquent so people could get a feel for the adventure that I had. It's about a climb that I've wished to do for awhile - not a hike, but still a really good read. The author is a talented writer I think:

I would say writing a good trip report like that is all about vocabulary and time. But I agree Spotly, it is eloquently written but I just don't have the time to read it .
Michael Stanton is one of the best TR writers ever! All of his works are very enjoyable and his images rock!! He posts here too. He has moved to Germany and been putting up some incredible reports from the mountains there. Check out his profile on SP...tons of great reports. Oh and has this site.
