Yah. I think he was riding a loaner. But heck, when we pay so much for vehicles and homes, what's a few thousand for a bike?
I do like where they have located the assist controls. No screwed on display to deal with and more handlebar room for important things like air horns and cup holders.

A hiker lady I know here just had their E-bike stolen while in the store for 15 minutes and locked to the bike rack. I think they were using a fairly inexpensive lock, but given that thieves these days using cordless power tools can cut out a catalytic converter in under 10 minutes, I am not sure if ANY lock would be sufficient?
-------------- Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
If they are able to cut the lock I have a GPS tracker hidden and secured in my frame and internally wired to battery. Was pretty inexpensive. I ended up using a FreedomPop SIM for free tracking. I was surprised how well it tracks.
I have one of those locks too. Unfortunately, in an area with very little bike infrastructure, that lock won't work. It won't go around all light posts and trees, etc. I'm also carrying a cable lock which is good for here. My bike also has a wheel lock that must be engaged in order to remove the key.
The happy drunks kind of kept an eye on it at Safeway, in the precovid days. I take it into home depot. They block their bike rack off with displays and get perturbed if you lock it to a display rack. I've complained about that but guess bike riding customers are rare as nothing is done.

Best ebike video I've seen. How to explain how they work? It's me, only faster. Lots of humor and riding on pavement, gravel and trails.
