My crime was to hit the back button to copy and then repost a civil thread that had been deleted.  The topic touched on multi-use issues that I thought were relevant to the conversation.  But even mentioning multi-use was considered blasphemous. I was rightly verbally punished then put on double secret probation.  If I tried to post I received a message saying my post would be reviewed by an admin.

I used to browse here a lot, and seldom post.

I read through this thread and def. remember some screen names.

I doubt many remember me  :-)

I've learned a lot from this site & gravitate back as the weather warms. I should come here more often in the cold months - I miss a good cabin fever flame war

If you're ever in need of a good dose of "flame war", head on over to mountainproject.com, that's very common there.  lol.gif

Haven't heard from Ski in a while.  Always loved his Queets reports.  Maybe he'll reappear late summer / early fall when river levels are low.

I took note of Ski's absence of commentary some time ago and sent an email to his personal address in mid-March. Told him that I hoped he hadn't abandoned the NWH community for whatever reason, or met with any personal calamity.  Also said I'd hate to see the forum down one more interesting curmudgeon. It took him about a month to reply.  He said, "No calamities, just other irons in the fire lately", which was something he said in one of his last posts. Hope he returns soon.

Dane's literally fallen off the face of the earth since his injury. I have tried to find someone who can get in touch with him but he's completely disappeared. I wish I could find out how he's doing because I hope he's ok. We had some awesome climbs together back in 2013/2014.

I was just asking a few other members of r on FB if they have heard from Dane as well. Indeed some great hikes with him.
